Matt A Western NC is my homeland, so I am partial to black metal acts from the area. That being said, the song "Stone Giant" shows these guys to be accomplished and refined purveyors of black metal in the Cascadian style. Perhaps bands like Black Mountain Hunger will have us all talking about Appalachian Black Metal soon. Pretty subversive to name a pagan metal band after a town that has been a center of Billy Graham country for so long. Really excited to hear the rest of this!

1.
into grey 05:21
With the wool over our eyes we all have chosen to become the blind, we've turned our day to night. grey goes into grey Sea and sky glow brilliant, red all the living crying out to join the dead take till there's nothing left as grey goes into grey Learn from the father, suffer the son. I was the chosen of legions, now I'm no one All I loved, I loved alone all my life, I search for home All we see, we don't speak We wait here endlessly. We are alone
2.
Take my life into your hands push it deep into my lungs bleeding body, bending limbs twist my bones and cut my tongue show me the way you've brought me here in search of gods there is no one there's nothing all of our lives we're taught to fear their hungry gods they're lying O' sorceress, what is there now? there's only lies and dying. show me the way
3.
The gods have left this place they've left us through the mountains halo abandoned us left us to face whatever comes of their betrayal. there is nothing for you here, there will never be there will never be a thing. born of century old ghosts we will disappear without ever being seen we wait for the skies to fall we wait for the seas to boil we watch as mothers make their children dig their graves on arid soil
4.
Creatures of the forest serpents of the deep i summon you awaken life protect me O' there are others. pulling down the mountains poisoning the sea. they're melting frozen haven they're turning field to desert they are taking life from me the creature, the pariah one with no venom's sting they will not make their peace with me mankind, the empty vessels destroying just to be with eyes but choosing not to see tooth and claw blood and bone storm and fire drought and cold pull down mountains poison the sea melt frozen land destroy just to be
5.
stone giant 06:16
Destroyer of worlds, parasites I feed, can you feel the end of days? can you see into the void beyond us? see to our ruthless end? when we'll scorch the earth as we writhe, crying "we have failed you!" to when the night descends and the dust will clear as we die, knowing we have failed you. I made mistakes when I created you, and now I burn you down. I must destroy the creature I've awakened violent child of doom you will never know your purpose child of doom. in the night, we dug the graves we lie down there, and now we wait. for the earth to take us, swallow us alive. we will find our home in hell and the earth will take us.
6.
hollow city 06:31
We're black holes. every one of us. always absorbing always collecting pulling in, still empty. we were as gods, we were nothing i am destruction i am gluttony still, our movements keep your eyes on us nothing, not even the movement shows, we're only shadows. to the deaf and blind we were ghosts to the dead and tired we bled you dry in all the earth and sky we were nothing more than parasites.
7.
Wake i'm awake don't let the darkness feed on you don't let it find your soul we are the only light we are the only ones who can awaken hell, awaken home. i have been antiquated, if im to die, then i choose to by hands hell will be elevated again to rise, taking hold of holy lands we are the only light we are the only life.
